The vision of Spelkollektivet is to create spaces for game developers who are looking to surround themselves with like-minded people.
Krustceles is an outpost built around one particular challenge:
Finding the right people to build something with.
It means “Crossroads” in Latvian. It is a place for game developers at a crossroads in life, looking for where to go next. Here, you can experiment with working alongside other game developers to figure out who you are in a team, and who you want to team up with.
Who have tried going at it alone and realized they would rather build something with others.
Who have just aquired the skills to make games, but have not found the people to build something with.
Who want to turn an unexpected ending into the beginning of something new.
Who bring experience from other industries and are looking to find their place in game development.
In game development and the people around you.
Show up, engage, and help make the people around you better.
Assume the best in people and forgive mistakes.

Krustceles is currently in Early Access. While we’re building the guided experience that Krustceles will eventually offer, you’re welcome to come and make your own schedule, work on your own projects and explore what the place can become. We’re looking for adventurous game developers who want to meet others, experiment together and help shape something new from the very beginning.

Before joining, everyone has a quick 5-minute interview with us. It’s simply a chance to meet, talk about your goals and expectations, and make sure Krustceles is the right place for what you’re looking for.
Krustceles is located in Lamiņi, a small Latvian village of around 100 people. At its heart is Lamiņu muiža, an 18th-century manor that was once home to German nobility, a Russian prince and a French countess. Today, the 2,400 m² complex is our home, surrounded by a 100,000 m² park and the quiet Latvian countryside. Just 8 km away is Pūre, with shops, a post office, doctor’s practice and even a chocolate museum.
Krustceles can be reached by public transport every day of the week, although connections can be limited. Lamiņi is around an hour’s drive from Riga Airport and 30 minutes from Tukums I railway station. Regular buses connect Tukums with Lamiņi, and ferries to Latvia are also available from Sweden, Germany and Finland.
